Prelimary animal studies suggest yes caffeine may have photoprotective chemicals in it. In the journal of Investigative dermatology, 2009 Feb 26 (http://dx.doi.org/10.1038/jid.2008.435) studies indeed point to caffeine as having a chemopreventive agent against the adverse effects of UV radiation. ]]></description>
