Hydrated Skin = Beautiful, Healthy Skin
Water makes up over half of our body – over 60%. Water keeps us alive. Every cell, tissue and organ depends on it for survival.
When our skin is hydrated , it is plump, firm and glowing. Every skin type can benefit from hydrating their skin – even oily complexions need to balance their skin. There is a difference between just moisturizing your skin and hydrating your skin. Moisturizers hold in what moisture you already have, they create a barrier of sorts, on the surface of your skin. Hydrators help your skin create its own moisture over an extended period of time. They do this by using the ingredients they are formulated with.
Hyaluronic acid is one of the best hydrators available in skin care. It is a natural substance in our bodies and draws 1000 times its weight in water to the area it is applied. (or injected if you do fillers like Juvederm or Restylane!)
Abrams Dermatology offers some of the best hydrating products available.
