What is Sculptra?

Posted on 08. Jan, 2009 by in Cosmetic Treatments, Fillers

Your face is the first thing that people notice about you.

In time, your skin loses its full, firm, youthful appearance. This is the result of a natural aging process where skin becomes damaged, thinner or loses its natural elasticity. Fat tissue that helps to fill out your face is lost. As a result, your face may look thin and narrow and your skin becomes loose and starts to wrinkle.

If you’d love a facelift, but don’t like the idea of surgery…

Sculptra™ could be exactly what you’re looking for!!! Known as the liquid facelift , Sculptra™ is an injectable treatment that restores volume to your skin, leaving your face looking fuller and younger. This is a natural non-surgical skin treatment that stimulates your skin, encouraging it to grow new collagen to give you a more youthful appearance.

Sculptra™ is like “seeds of collagen” which are carefully placed in the areas where your skin needs it the most. Sculptra™ works in the lower layers of the skin in order to smooth and firm the treated areas of the face. The full effects are not immediate and can take a few months to develop. The long-lasting effects of Sculptra™ make it well worth the wait.

Sculptra™ can be used to correct:

  • Hollow cheeks/temples
  • Sagging Jowls
  • Premature aging of the face
  • Deep folds and wrinkles
  • Wrinkly hands

Sculptra™ is intended for patients who want to restore the contours of their face or compensate for gradual signs of aging. The number of treatments depends on many different factors. Therefore, it is best to make an appointment with a Board Certified Dermatologist to review your goals and expectations. Your dermatologist will recommend the best options to help you achieve your goals.

Carol- We do not have a price list of all the procedures we offer. Sculptra treatments start at $700. I would advise you to schedule an appointment for a cosmetic consultation with Dr. Abrams, D.O. or Sheryl Wilson, ARNP to determine if Sculptra is right for you. The cost of the consultation will be deducted from your treatment. You can also schedule a free consultation with our Licensed Esthetician Catherine Deans, L.E. who will be able to go over the different options available for your skin type.
Please call us at 941-926-2300 or email us at to schedule your appointment.
